Hey Carterton!

Thanks for coming down to the Ka Pai Carterton Creative Forest Event and sharing your bright ideas for the future of our cool wee district. We loved hearing your ideas, learning about all the amazing skills and knowledge we have here in our district and where you want to get involved or drive some of these projects. Ka pai!

(see the photos captured by local by Lucia Zanmonti here )

Our process is to now collate all the amazing data, put it together in a way that we can all make best use of it and then we will feedback to you to make sure we got it right. From there, we will put finishing touches on the community plan, have our partners at the Department of Internal affairs check it over, and then we will be in to implementation phase. (Technically April 2020, but we want to get going on these ideas asap!)

If you missed out on this event or want to add more - email us at hello@kapaicarterton.nz

We love hearing from you!

designed to engage with our community and draw out the ideas - big, small, simple or out there - for inclusion in the Carterton Community Plan. (You can find out more about the plan here.)

The cool thing is that once these ideas are included in the plan, Ka Pai Carterton can provide the support to help you get the projects off the ground, and access funding.

Ka Pai Carterton has teamed up with Creative Forest for this event. Creative Forest are experts in building Collaborative Learning Communities and Knowledge Networks. In a nutshell, it's a ground-breaking methodology, a framework, a way of doing things, or better yet – a way of getting things done.  Practiced, designed and developed over 10 years, a Creative Forest is a learning eco-system with specially designed purpose driven areas that provide the scaffolding and guidance we need to utilise the potential of our community. Exciting! You can see how the process works in the video below.

Hosted over three days there will be plenty of opportunity to pop in and engage,  including an after 5's / commuters social on Friday 16th and community fun on Saturday 17th. So come down and join us, we can't wait to hear about your ideas for Carterton's future.

Whats your bright idea for Carterton?
